India - Land of Extremes

Arrival at Mumbai - a mad house
Taxi queue - old 1950's cars with no air con
Sophia, our luggage and our happy hotel guy
Goa airport - election time is near.

Sophia and I just got back from a week in India. We spent 5 days in Goa and 3 in Mumbai. and Mumbai (formerly Bombay) are both on the West coast of India on the Arabian Sea. Mumbai is about 2/3 the way up the coast Goa is an hour flight South of Mumbai. We had some very interesting experiences during this our first visit to this country of extremes. I plan to do several posts looking at Goa and Mumbai breaking it down (to the extent my disorganized mind can) by topics including the people, food, architecture, history and geography.
